Which is better - Old or New Regime?

If your total deductions exceed approximately ₹3.75 lakh, the Old Regime is usually better. For income up to ₹12 lakh, the New Regime with standard deduction of ₹75,000 and rebate u/s 87A is often more beneficial. Use this calculator to compare both side-by-side.

What is the standard deduction in New Regime?

For FY 2025-26, salaried employees get a standard deduction of ₹75,000 under the New Tax Regime (increased from ₹50,000 in Budget 2024).
